Guests were invited to step aboard, draw back the curtains and have their photograph taken by the firebox glow, in the middle of one of London's most photographed hotel interiors.

It is a display piece first and a photo opportunity second, and it works at both. The engine reads convincingly from across a room, and rewards people who walk right up to it — polished metalwork, leather bench seats, warm carriage lamps and a bell that actually rings.

Every train we build is finished to the venue it is going into. Colour scheme, engine name, boiler number, lighting and decorative accents are all yours to specify.

Product Features

Engine light, chimney smoke, a ringing brass bell and a flickering firebox — with a curtained carriage seating up to twelve. Built for lobbies, atriums and ballrooms, the train breaks down into seven sections and passes through double-width doors, making a centrepiece of this scale genuinely installable indoors.

Working effects – Smoke from the boiler and chimney, a lit engine lamp, and a flaming fire effect inside the firebox with its own smoke

A carriage to sit in – Double bench seats in soft padded leather, luxury window curtains and warm glowing carriage lights. Eight or twelve seats

Steel-built for public spaces – Steel metalwork throughout, made to stand up to a full season of guests climbing aboard in a central indoor position

Programmable bell – A metal ringing bell you can set to sound on a timer, on cue, or on demand

Winter Attractions provides public liability cover when the prop is staffed. We also advise clients to check their own event insurance.

Just clear access to the event space and a power supply for the lighting and effects. Our team brings everything else needed for setup.
Assembly time depends on venue access and the configuration chosen. We will confirm a schedule with you in advance as part of the site planning, (allow for 4-6 hours as general build).
